Privacy & Cookie Policy

1. Who we are

This website is owned and operated by Apostolos Kontoulis, trading as Salty Soil, a licensed travel agency in Greece (GNTO licence 0933E60000837301, VAT number EL064918344). Our office is at 2 Kosti Palama, 54630 Thessaloniki, Greece.

Questions about this policy or your personal data: info@saltysoil.gr or +30 695 557 9856.

2. What information we collect

  • Enquiries. When you use our contact form we receive your name, email address, and anything else you choose to share (phone, company, group size, dates, message).
  • Bookings. When you book online, your name, contact details and booking details (dates, participants) are processed by Regiondo, our booking platform. Payment card details are handled by Regiondo and its payment provider and are never seen or stored by us.
  • Website usage. Only if you accept analytics or marketing cookies: how you use our website (pages visited, device type, approximate location by country or city).

We don’t collect government ID or health data through this website. If you book through a marketplace such as GetYourGuide, Viator or Airbnb, that platform’s privacy terms apply to your booking.

3. How and why we use it

  • To reply to your enquiry and prepare a proposal (our legitimate interest in answering requests you send us).
  • To arrange and deliver the tour, activity or event you’ve booked, and to contact you about it (performance of a contract).
  • To keep accounting and tax records (legal obligation).
  • To understand how our website is used and measure our ads, only with your consent.

We do not sell your personal data, and we don’t use it for anything else without asking you first.

4. Cookies

When you first visit, we ask which cookies you’re happy to allow. Necessary storage is always on; analytics and marketing cookies are only set if you accept them. Nothing that tracks you loads before you choose. You can change your choice at any time: , or use “Cookie settings” in the footer.

_gcl_au Google Ads Measures which ads lead to enquiries Marketing 3 months

We use Google Tag Manager to load Google Analytics and Google Ads, and Google Consent Mode to respect your choice. Our fonts and images are served from our own website, so no other third party is contacted when you browse.

5. Who we share it with

We share personal data only with service providers that help us run our website and deliver our services, under data processing agreements:

  • Hostinger: hosts our website and email; contact form messages are delivered to our mailbox.
  • Regiondo (and its payment provider): online bookings and payments.
  • Google (Analytics, Tag Manager, Ads): website statistics and ad measurement, only with your consent.

To deliver a booked tour or event, we may share the necessary details (for example names and pick-up point) with the transport, accommodation or activity partners involved. Some of Google’s processing may take place outside the EU; such transfers are covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

6. How long we keep it

Enquiries we don’t turn into bookings are deleted within 2 years. Booking information is kept as long as needed to deliver the booking and to meet Greek tax and accounting rules, typically up to 5 years, then deleted or anonymised. Contact form messages are not stored on our web server; they arrive by email only.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, restrict or object to how we use it, get a copy in a portable format, and withdraw your consent at any time. Email info@saltysoil.gr and we’ll reply within one month.

If you’re not happy with how we’ve handled your request, you can complain to the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (dpa.gr).

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes are posted on this page with a new “last updated” date.
