Meet at the harbour of Thessaloniki and then head to an old bakery - a hidden gem that stands for three generations, for the first stop.  Sample some typical Greek breakfast pastries such as traditional koulouri (a sesame seed-covered bread ring) & bougatsa (phyllo pastry filled with cream or cheese). Then hear interesting stories during the coffee break and then head to the open market of the town.  Through little streets and alleys full of history, you'll arrive at the "Kapani" (open from Monday to Saturday) a vibrant, colourful and historic place. Once you finish strolling the market, taste some original street food, and a variety of meze dishes, such as dolmades (stuffed grape leaves), tzatziki (yoghurt and cucumber dip) and have the chance to speak with your your host.
