Day Trip to Pozar Thermal Baths & Edessa from Thessaloniki
Just 1.5 hours from Thessaloniki, Pozar Thermal Baths (also known as Loutra Pozar) sit at the foot of Voras Mountain, where natural hot springs flow at a steady 37°C year-round. Renowned for their healing properties — particularly for skin conditions, arthritis and respiratory issues — the baths are one of the most relaxing escapes from the city, whatever the season.
On arrival, your group will spend around 2 hours soaking in the outdoor thermal pools, surrounded by lush mountain scenery. If you'd prefer a more private experience, indoor pool facilities can be arranged on request, subject to morning availability — just let us know in advance.
After the baths, we head to Edessa — the ancient first capital of the Kingdom of Macedonia. The highlight is Greece's biggest waterfall, a spectacular cascade that plunges into a gorge below the town. You'll have free time to explore, walk the waterfall path and take in the viewing platforms and bridges that make Edessa one of northern Greece's most underrated destinations.
Lunch is not included but can be enjoyed at a village near the baths or in Edessa itself — your guide will point you to the best local spots.
This is a small group tour, led by a local guide fluent in English and Greek, with hotel pick-up and drop-off from Thessaloniki.
