Founded by Akis (Apostolos) Kontoulis, Salty Soil is a flexible mobile company. Although our base is in Thessaloniki, we provide Sea Kayaking & Sup paddling trips and multi-day expeditions in Greece, private guiding services along with day trips from Thessaloniki, food tours and fun educational team building activities all over the country by bringing the equipment to participants. We believe that young people should have the chance to develop new skills in a fun environment with equal rights.

Akis has over 18 years of experience working in the outdoor tourism sector, combined with educational activities. Working both abroad and in Greece resulted in forming the new company with the broader goal of promoting our heritage and combining it with educational outdoor activities. Although having a degree in engineering the real passion has always been the outdoors and guiding. Since 2006, he’s been living in Greece and has travelled and worked in numerous spots in the country.
